When to Replace Instead of Refinish

In California a B-2 Residential Remodeling license does not cover substantial changes to major plumbing or electrical systems, so we use the correct license class and build to the 2025 California Building Standards Code, in effect since January 1, 2026. If you would rather lose the tub altogether, a tub-to-shower conversion uses the same space for a larger shower, and a full remodel handles the whole room at once.
